Recently, EverExceed newly developed 51.2V 100Ah Stackable energy storage lithium batteries have successfully passed essential industry standard battery cell safety tests UN38.3. These LiFEPO4 battery modules can expand up to 10 modules and are designed for home energy storage systems and SME.
As we all know, UN38.3 certification is a significant step as it ensures cells are safe to be transported. Nearly all lithium batteries are required to pass section 38.3 of the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria (UN Transportation Testing).
In order to transport the goods to the client soon, we cooperated with a local UN-licensed lithium battery laboratory to help us test all samples and the test period was more than one month. The test items were including altitude simulation, thermal test, vibration test, shock test, external short circuit test, impact/crush test, overcharge test, and forced discharge test. To be deemed safe for transportation, lithium-ion cells must not show any signs of leak, rupture, disassemble, or fire hazard. An exhaustive test program is consisting of a variety of simulated extreme conditions such as high altitude, very low and high temperatures and several mechanical abusive tests are performed. After more than a month of battery testing, all test items have passed. Meanwhile, we have also obtained sea and road transport reports issued by DGM.
Safety is a key metric in battery manufacturing. We will definitely manufacture and pack batteries in strict compliance with UN38.3 to ensure the safety of lithium batteries during shipping.
